Maybelline Master Glaze by FaceStudio - Make a Mauve

Hello internet beauties! I have a new product from a NEW line from Maybelline cosmetics. The line is FaceStudio and the product is their Master Glaze a cream stick blush. At my CVS it was $8.99.

Here's what Maybelline had to say:

  • Cheeks go dewy and gently glazed with this portable, creamy blush stick.
  • Glazed pearls + a shea butter glide provide blendable, natural color and smooth, even application.
  • Fragrance Free. Non-comedogenic. Suitable for all skin types.

  • Ok, I did not love this product. More and anything I was upset with the price and the amount of that is product given. I measured this sucker and it was HALF AN INCH for pretty much 9 BUCKS! SMH Maybelline. I felt a little cheated, and after trying out the product it didn't even last the whole day on my cheeks with foundation or not! I barely got 4 hours of wear before it faded and there nothing but shimmer, glitter left. No ma'am and sir! It wasn't for me!

I do, however, agree with the claims made by Maybelline. It does give a dewy look to the skin but oily skin people BEWARE it can make your cheeks look like a disco ball! It was VERY creamy and blended effortlessly. One could definitely control the intensity of the color on the cheek since it was BUILDABLE as well.

This Master Glaze by Maybelline wasn't for me, but if you tried it and loved it, let me know! I would love to read about your experiences with this product.

    Drink up, beauties!

Covergirl TruBlend Fix Stick Concealer - Deep D5-6-7

Hello all! I have a new product to share with you all! It's the new Covergirl TruBlend FixStick Concealer ($6-7). I have to admit, that I am not a fan of Covergirl and when they have new products, I don't even look their way. It was my obsession with concealers that compelled me to buy this. Along with new concealers, Covergirl has new TruBlend foundation to go along with them. There are SIX shades available of this concealer and I got the darkest: Deep D5-7.

This concealer is the typical crayon that you can twist up and down from a point at the bottom. This was VERY creamy and easy to blend on the skin. I definitely say it was BETTER at blending than the L'Oreal True Match Concealer which I review side by side HERE. This was a good match for my skin tone is reference to DEEPNESS, but it was the WRONG UNDERTONE. I am more yellow toned and this was more NEUTRAL. Actually, this whole new Covergirl line is catered more to neutral skin tones.

Overall, I thought this was a good concealer on how well it blended, lasted on the skin, and the it gives good medium coverage, BUT I did return it. I could not use it how I wanted to because of the mix-match undertone. On me, it make my under eye area look TIRED and in natural light you could DEFINITELY pick up on ALL the little areas on my cheeks I tried to cover using it.

    No Concealer

    After TruBlend FixStick applied

Let me know if this was helpful! Have you tried the new concealer and/or TruBlend foundation out from Covergirl yet?

    Thanks for reading!

    Drink up, beauties!

L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime Eyeliners in Black, Plum, & Highlighter

The Infallible Silkissime liner ($7.99-$9.99 USD), it's the new eyeliner from L'Oreal. For me in the past, L'Oreal was my go to brand for all things eyeliner. Recently, it's mostly misses and money wasted on broken promises BUT these Silkissime is definitely a game changer!

    Claims from L'Oreal website:
    • Glides like silk.
    • Soft like silk.
    • Up to 16 Hour Wear
Indulge your eyes in silk. Glide on smooth intensity with our first silk inspired liquid pencil. Introducing Silkissime by Infallible for 16-hours of intense color from dusk until dawn.

There are four available colors and I purchases 3: black, plum, and highlighter. Are these eyeliner silky and creamy? YES! I'm was very impressed how EASY they went on the eyes. Even though they are VERY creamy; they are nearly budge-proof on the TOP eyelid. On the WATERLINE, all three vary very differently! 16hour wear? Phptt! Not a chance, but nice try L'Oreal! The Black eyeliner I got 6 1/2 hours of wear before MAJOR smudging on the top and fading of the waterline. The Plum lasted about 4 hours on the waterline, and Highlighter shade was the shortest at about 1-2 hours before it COMPLETELY disappeared! If I had to recommend a shade, GO FOR BLACK! I compared it to the Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Perversion and they were nearly the SAME on staying power and intensity!

    Highlighter, Plum, & Black

Overall, I do love these eyeliners! They may vary in the waterline, but if you are looking for some new eyeliners, I definitely recommend checking these guys out.

Tried the L'Oreal Infallible Silkissimes already? Loved it or hated it? Let me know!
    Thanks always for reading!

L'Oreal Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks - Molto Mauve, Caramel Solo, Scarlet Concerto, & Plum Adagio

L to R: Caramel Solo, Molto Mauve, Scarlet Concerto, & Plum Adagio

Hello people of the Internet! If you may or may not know, there is a new lip product from L'Oreal called (deep breath) the Color Riche Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks. I may be the only one, but I hate when L'Oreal gives their products these LONG names that people are NOT going to remember! Oh well, it's their product, and I have 4 shades I have swatched and want to talk to you all about, Molto Mauve 500, Caramel Solo 703, Scarlet Concerto 306, and Plum Adagio 502.

The L'Oreal Extraordinaire Liquid Lipsticks (~$9.99) is a product that L'Oreal claims has "rich color", "shines", and "smoothes" and I am here to give my two scents about what I have experienced with this product. Here are some other claims from the L'Oreal website.

'Transform lips from ordinary to extraordinary. Color is richer, lip surface is smoother and shine is magnified. Formulated with precious micro-oils and rich color pigments, Extraordinaire provides the ideal balance of color and care for perfect lips. The unique soft-touch applicator allows for a silky-smooth, gliding application'

So from all of this, I understand that this should be like a nutrient rich glossy lipstick, but from what I experienced with these shades is that this product is A LOT like the L'Oreal Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stains. They look the same on my lips, act the same, even SMELL the same, but for me, the Liquid Lipsticks were WAY better!

The Liquid Lipsticks WERE very hydrating and nourishing on my lips. I did not have to apply a lipbalm before application like with the Shine Stains. I got more uniform color payoff between the shades I chose and they are buildable. I just found that the Liquid Lipsticks took LONGER to set in between layers when building up the color.

Three of the four colors were VERY intense and gave good color opacity in one to two go around. Scarlet Concerto, the red, took about 3-4 layers for me to get the color that I was looking for. All the colors have tiny glitter particles in them. But I didn't notice them until I looked for me because after a few days of wearing these, my lips got a little sensitive. My lips ALWAYS seem to know when there is glitter of SOME kind because they will get IRRITATED =[

As far as durability on the lips, Caramel Solo did the best through a regular day of eating and drinking. I could still see the other 3 colors, but they faded quite a bit and mostly there was shimmer left. I also felt that these products get STICKY as the day goes on and they dry down a bit even though they were not DRYING on the lips.

    Caramel Solo

    Molto Mauve

    Scarlet Concerto

    Plum Adagio

Overall, I really like these! Good color selection and good color payoff. Have you seen these lip products in stores yet? Tried them? What are your thoughts? Let me know!

Eden BodyWorks Coconut Leave-In Conditioner & Coconut Shea Pudding Soufflé

Hello all the Internet makeup junkies! Happy New Year 2014! To start the year, we have a different type of post for you all ALL about my new HAIR OBSESSION: Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea products! Let's get started, shall we?

So, a while ago now I bought the Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea All Natural Pudding Soufflé & Leave-In Conditioner and I am IN LOVE. You guys, these products are SERIOUSLY saving my hair BIG TIME.
A little about my hair currently is that I am growing it out. Stretching my relaxer, transitioning, or being cheap, call it what you want, but the truth is that I have a BIT of new growth that I am working with. I went on a search for a new leave in to moisturize my hair because of the winter cold and my current leave-in was NOT doing it for my ever growing length of curls. So I got these and they WORK!

    Coconut Shea Leave-In Conditioner

The EDEN BodyWorks All Natural Coconut Shea Leave In Conditioner ($8.49 USD) gives me LIFE! It's a super creamy and hydrating product. As far as consistency comparison, it really reminds me of the As I Am Leave-In Conditioner, but Eden is lighter. The smell is AMAZING but not very strong,  but I think the intensity will vary from person to person. I like to apply and steam my hair under a dryer with a plastic cap and my hair detangles like a DREAM. I didn't know I could have so much fun combing my hair!

The EDEN BodyWorks All Natural Coconut Shea Pudding Soufflé ($8.49 USD) is a light fluffy, creamy mousse moisturizer, but I use it as a styler as well. It gives me light to medium hold, but ALWAYS gives my hair the most AMAZING amount of softness and natural shine after my hair dries. It has the SAME scent as the leave-in, a very sweet coconut aroma. If I had to choose between this and the leave-in, I think I would chose this. It only wins by the fact that I can double this up as my leave-in in a pinch but it definitely does better as an added moisturizer for the hair. My hair has been SO thirsty and dry this winter and these products, but especially the soufflé is JUST want the hair doctor ordered!

    After Using Eden BodyWorks

    Pretty good definition, right?

So I hope you all enjoyed this post! Feel free to share and leave me a comment! Have you tried these products? What are you thoughts on them? Hated them or loved them?

    Thanks for reading!
